We worked with the Cancer Alliance and local people to find out about people's experiences of having diagnostic tests such as endoscopy and the barriers they felt prevented them. Find out more.

We have heard from more than 500 Kent and Medway residents about what it is like to live with Long Covid and which services and support matter most to you. Your views have been used to help shape the Post Covid Assessment Service, which was launched in May 2021.

Find out how we worked with poeple in east Kent to improve diabetes services.

The Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service which was available in some parts of  Kent and Medway closed on 31 January 2022.

During 2021, more than 1,000 people took part in a survey that asked why people use the POD telephone service rather than an online app for repeat prescriptions. People were also asked if they had access to digital technology and whether they would be happy to switch over to an online ordering system if it was accessible to them. Find out more. 

Across Kent and Medway, commissioners and providers are working together to transform acute mental health services for adults so that the right support is available for those who need it - this may be as an inpatient in a hospital, at home or in the community. We would like to thank people living in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, Medway, Sittingbourne and Isle of Sheppey for sharing their experience of using ophthalmology (eye care) services in the past year.

More than 700 people responded to our survey about eye care services and this feedback will be considered and taken into account when we start the process of securing a long-term provider for these services in the near future. Find out more.

In autumn 2021, as part of the process of finding a provider for out of hours clinical home visits, we held two patient meetings to find out your experiences of accessing clinical home visiting appointments and what you would like to see implemented by the new provider. Find out more.

The NHS in Kent and Medway is working to improve mental health care.
