CQC report on Albion Place Medical Practice

27 January 2022

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has announced (27 January 2022)  it has taken enforcement action against DMC Healthcare following an inspection at Albion Place Medical Practice, Maidstone, last year.

The announcement mentions Church View Practice, Rainham, was also inspected.

DMC Healthcare no longer provides GP services from Albion Place, Maidstone, or Church View Practice, Rainham, having signed over contracts to Maritime Health Partnership from 1 January 2022.

NHS Kent and Medway clinical Commissioning Group’s Chief Nurse Paula Wilkins said: “We understand this announcement may cause patients to worry.

“We wish to reassure registered patients steps have already been taken and work is under way to address concerns raised by the inspection last year.

“Patient safety is paramount and before change of provider to Maritime Health Partnership, additional third-party support was put in place to address specific issues raised by Care Quality Commission inspectors.

“We are assured progress is being made and continue to monitor the situation through daily reports.”
