New Covid-19 vaccination clinic in Dover

22 November 2021

The clinic, which is run by Channel Health Alliance, provides a mix of bookable and walk-in appointments for people living in Dover, Deal, Sandwich and surrounding areas.

Patients can book appointments online via the National Booking Service or by phoning 119. Walk-in clinics will be advertised on the NHS’s grab a jab site. Please check before attending, as not all clinics are walk-in.

In Folkestone, the Folca vaccination centre, which was run by Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, has been taken over by Total Health Excellent (THE) Ltd Primary Care Network.

THE had previously been providing vaccination services from Folkestone Civic Centre; it moved to Folca on 1 November. The move provides a more centralised location, with better facilities and additional space. The Folca clinic takes bookings via the National Booking Service or by phoning 119.

If a site in Kent and Medway does not appear when you try to book online, it means all current slots are taken, but more are regularly added. Please check back later. You should not need to travel outside of Kent and Medway to have a vaccination.

Paula Wilkins, Chief Nurse, NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group said: “The vaccination provision across Kent and Medway continues to adapt to the changing needs of our residents and the capacity within our system.

“The introduction of a new clinic in Whitfield, will improve access to the vaccine for residents in Dover, Deal and Sandwich, and by making sure a clinic remains at Folca, Folkestone residents are able to continue accessing the vaccine at a central and convenient location.”
