People will be contacted when the vaccine is available for them.
Please do not phone GP surgeries, the CCG, or other NHS services with general queries about when you will be able to get the vaccine.
The vaccine is a critical part of beating the pandemic, protecting the most vulnerable and helping everyone return to more normal lives. The NHS in Kent and Medway is committed to ensuring there is a local vaccination service for each of the 42 primary care network areas.
The vaccination services for more than 98 per cent of our 200+ GP practices have now been confirmed and the majority have started vaccinating.
Of the 42 primary care networks in Kent and Medway:
- 30 have sites that have already started
- nine are starting by the end of this week 11-17 January
- two are starting by the end of next week 18-24 January
The final area where plans are being confirmed is for three practices in the Medway Peninsula Primary Care Network. We are working hard to finalise the services for the peninsula as quickly as possible.
Kent and Medway Covid-19 vaccination services
All Covid-19 vaccinations will be provided through booked appointments. The list of locations is for information only. Please do not directly contact or visit locations unless you have been invited to attend.
GP surgeries are working together in groups (primary care networks) to provide the Covid-19 vaccine. Services are now listed for 41 of our 42 primary care network areas, see the progress update box above for more information.

Hospital based Covid-19 vaccine services are predominantly focusing on high priority patients who would be coming to hospital for other care, plus NHS and care home staff. All vaccinations are through booked appointments.
Hospital based services are currently run from:
- William Harvey Hospital in Ashford
- Medway Maritime Hospital
- Maidstone Hospital
- Darrent Valley Hospital
- Aylesham Health Centre
- Sheppey Community Hospital
Vaccination services at other hospitals will follow as part of the vaccination programme roll out.
Across England seven large public vaccination centres opened in the week of 11 January. These are only the first to open and more will follow including in Kent.
Local residents are not expected to book appointments and travel to any of the seven current sites. If you do recieve a letter inviting you to use the national booking service you can use any service that appears on the national booking system. But if there are no services listed within a reasonable travel distance you do not have to make a booking. The service being run through GPs will still contact you when they are inviting people in your age/priority group.
Details of large vaccination centres in this area will be published when available.
